![]() Below is a list of Amusement Sales Centers and Repair Techs throughout the state. Keep in mind retail Amusment re-sellers typically put a lot of work into restoring a machine before they sell it. Thus their prices are many times higher than what you might find through a local ad or at an arcade auction. The various techs listed below are a great source if a repair job gets beyond your abilities and its not something that can easily be shipped out for service. TAMPA / ST. PETE AREA Jim Nyers "AtariJim"Location: Seffner, FL (813-685-8175), e-mail: Comments: Jim is a great guy and well recommended! He does great work for very reasonable prices. My name is Jim Nyers and I have been repairing pinballs for over 15 years, both as a part time collector and full time repairs. I was Manager of Apollo Amusements in Brandon for over 8 years and I continue to do repairs for them and The Game Gallery, as well as a few other local operators and many home collectors. I repair both pins and arcade videos, doing component level board repairs to full shop outs. I also repair electro-mechanicals. I now work out of my home full time, doing almost exclusively in shop repairs. I sometimes do in home repairs when the work load allows and when the customer is close. AtariJim is highly recommended by the Flordia Arcade Collectors group! Apollo Amusements Location: 1809 Brandon Blvd W, Brandon, FL, (813) 643-6228 Website: http://www.apolloamusements.comComments: Sales, Repairs and Rentals of both Video Games, Pinballs and assorted equipment. Review: While I've only stopped by to purchase small parts or supplies, I was always treated nicely. They were good enough to give me parts numbers and point me in the right direction if they didn't have a specific part, or in one case they simply handed me an ARII pcb off a shelf for free. Game prices are full retail which is a bit more than I like to pay, but they are a retail establishment. The few times I called about repairs the quoted estimates were a bit high and in some cases it didn't seem like they were really setup to work on older equipment as most of their business is in sales and support of newer stuff. Still, if you need a bottle of Novus they will hook you up. The Game Gallery Location: 7853 Gunn Hwy #390 Tampa, FL 33626 Website: http://www.homegameroom.com Comments: Retail style sales of video games, pinballs and jukeboxes. Review: I have never even stopped in due to their very "retail" pricing. They do tend to have all the newest games so if your looking for your first NIB Pinball they might be worth a call. CENTRAL FLORIDA / ORLANDO AREA Curly / Little Shop of Games Location: 3536 Eagles Nest Rd, Fruitland Park, FL, E-mail: Website: http://www.littleshopofgames.com Comments: Hello, my name is Curly, I own and operate Little Shop of Games in cental Florida. I have been in the business for 13 years repairing, shopping, and restoring pinball machines. I am also a distributor for Williams/Bally parts. I carry a large selection of decals, cabinet art, new boards, etc. I also carry a good selection of pinball machines for sale. I do this from my home full time with a 700sf storage area, 800sf shop, and 700sf showroom. I am set-up to do full shop-outs, as well as total restorations. Bring your pinball into the shop, and we will sit down and go over it, and figure out what you want to do with the pinball, and cost. Curly is highly recommended by the Florida Arcade Collectors Group! Pinball Crazy Location: Clermont, FL area - servicing Central Florida - (352 394-5303), E-mail: Comments: "Hi, my name is Rick Turner and my business name is Pinball Crazy. I have been repairing EM pinball machines in the Central Florida area for the past 5 years." JACKSONVILLE Bill LaCovara Location: Jacksonville area contact (904-264-3631), E-mail: Comments: "I am a game technician with experience on all type of coin machines since 1988. I have worked for Southern Music, Jax Phonograph, Atlas music and games, Select Distributing, Anchor amusements, Gator coin. I do home service in the Jacksonville area. I work on most anything that takes a coin. Vids, pins electronic and EM, laser games, water operated, air operated, pool table recovering, you name it.""My rates are $100 for a service call. $80 if you pay cash. This gives one hour of service. $20 an hour after the first hour. If I find a game to be unrepairable (ie a corroded, left at the Beach EM), the cost is $40 for an estimate. If I can't fix it, no charge. I travel as far south as Palataka and north to Fernandina. SOUTH FLORIDA AREA Pinwerks Location: Margate to the Keys (South Florida Area), E-mail: Comments: "I have been doing service calls from Margate to the Keys (south florida area) since I co-hosted a Broward pinball show in 2004. I do maybe one service call a month, nothing big - just something I do on the side. I would like to do more however, it's great to meet other collectors. I fabricate reproduction and aftermarket parts as well."
